What you will enjoy doing

Main purpose of the job

  • Ensures the availability of the products on the market according to the demand, at the right time, right place and costs, through clear communication between departments, within the areas of demand planning.
  • Ensure the link between sales, purchasing, storage and production department and optimizes production planning due to agreements with the customer, supply of finished goods, capacity of resources and warehouse stock.



  • Receiving forecasts and creating a medium term production and material requirement planning.

  • Request of raw material, consumables, and operating supply items on basis of a strategic material requirements planning.

  • Continuous monitoring and considering the stock of finished goods.

  • Creating the ideal production plan respecting the order priority and the optimum input of resources (machine, staff, material).

  • Creating the production order by using the planning tool and approval to production department.

  • Permanent monitoring of production data and quality of data of the ERP-system.

  • Controlling and deviation analysis of customer order and customer forecast.

  • On time supply of finished goods in stock & of primary material for production.

  • Optimization of warehouse stock in order to reduce working capital.

  • Avoiding every kind of “waste” by finding the best solution for the ideal production program (Working hours of staff and machines, material consumption, customer complaint etc.).

  • Provides information to the Purchasing department regarding the planning of raw materials in order to ensure an optimal flow of raw materials in accordance with the contracts concluded with the suppliers.

  • Management of the volume process in Business Plan.

  • Informs and proposes actions necessary to avoid business losses.

  • Take measures to improve the accuracy of weekly and monthly forecasts to avoid losses and/ or over-stocks.

  • Collaborates with the Sales team to prepare for the launch of new products, promotions, strategy changes.

  • Understands and works with financial KPIs in order to improve overall profitability.


  • Defining the way how goods are stored to achieve maximum warehouse utilization.

  • Continuously optimizing the warehouse layout to improve the flow of the goods.

  • Ensuring accurate inventory. & correct shipments.

  • Organizing the warehouse inventory with section chart and row count.

  • Entering received shipments into the ALPLA Prod inventory system.

  • Monitoring shipments to ensure timely receipt, ascertain any damages and verify correct quantity.

  • Supervising warehouse associates and ensuring most efficient teamwork possible.

  • Very good analytical skills

  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Knowledge about production, stock management, planning, forecast

  • Fluent English (written & spoken)
